The issue is that there are actual hormonal factors that can influence how much you want to eat. Estrogen influences hunger signals, so when women go through menopause, they do not get the same symbols they used to get that tells them they are full. You can learn all day and night about nutrition, but that doesn’t stop you from actually feeling hungry. What makes it worse is that people burn less calories as they age.
