I cannot lose another lb. for the life of me.I want to lose 20 more.

Help!! I eat 1400-1700 cal. a day.......

best advice from me..change up your routine, seems like your body has gotten used to it. Use heavier weights.

How much do you weigh? 1400 to 1700 calories a day isn't much at all unless you are really small. You may be not eating enough and your body is in starvation mode, which means it may be running on your muscles instead of your fat. You need to find you daily calorie needs based on your age, sex, weight, and activity level, then put what you are eating a few hundred calories below that if you want to loose weight. If you eat something like 1000 calories below what you need a day, you won't lose weight effectively and will probably be malnourished.

This is the best advice. You need to 'shock' your body. If you are running every day on the treadmill, push the speed up a bit, put it on a hill.

Change the weights you are using or the exercises. If you are doing tricep dips, do something else....

What do you weigh?

1- you are likely eating too few calories.
2- you are certainly not exercising with anything resembling serious intensity.
3- eat a normal maintenance calorie diet for 2-3 days and go back to reducing your calories gradually. Give your body a break- it's tired of being underfed.

Totally agree......switch up your routine....maybe do more reps...3sets of 15.......if your doing machines maybe try another machine that works your target muscles in a different way.....your cardio seems to be right on....I wouldn't stop doing that and your calorie intake seems good...be sure to not eat less than 1200 a day.....that would hinder your progress.

Will do. I will try that. I am trying to tone my arms because I feel like I have bat wings LOL! (my husband doesn't think so though!)but I am my own worst critic.

I will try the incline on the treadmill to to 7.5-8.0 at about
4.0 mph.. Maybe that will help 5 times a week 3-4 miles a day?

I had twins 3 1/2 years ago and it's a ***** to lose weight! It doesn't come off like it used to. I am 43!

I know! I hear ya, but it's sooo good what your doing and that you are so dedicated! My mom is 49 and I got her into training with me about a year ago and she is addicted now....she's so much healthier now and i'm so proud of her! Your kids are too i'm sure!

If you do work out at the gym check out the machines, there are typically at least 2 different types of machines that work the same series of muscles....maybe use the other for a while and then switch back....I do that on every muscle group. For my arms I love free weights....machines are good but i see better results with free weights....Good luck and keep on pushin'!!!!

<3 Lola

One more important piece.....you can do as much cardio as you can do.....the more the better but very important....make sure you know what your target heart rate is (doctor or trainer can tell you that) and DO NOT exceed it....other than that....cardio is really good for you in any quantity you can handle.
