I went from 332lbs back in July 22nd to 302lbs as of Sept 1st. I know fit a size 42 pants from a size 46. How did I do it some of you might ask? Well, a lot of facts may have contribute to my weight loss and I will continue to lose weight until I reach my goal weight of 230lbs.
Will keep you posted as the weight goes down.

Have you been overweight most of your life, or is your current overweight (I'll assume you aren't 8 feet 9 inches tall) something that is a relatively recent or isolated occurrence?
If you have been overweight most of your life:
Have you tried to lose weight before?
Did you lose the weight?
Why did you put it back on?
Why do you think this time will be different?
Cat, congrats on the loss. I know stress was a contributing factor but look at it as a great headstart. Now you just have to concentrate on eating right and staying as active as possible.
Maybe you can do some of what I call comraderie type exercise like Crossfit or joining a martial arts school - you know, where everyone supports each other and develop a brotherhood/friendship. Its great and super inspiring.
martial ARTS! Do it! What I really loved about the classes I took was that there were people of all ages, and sizes. I think its one of the easiest to start but the hardest to master. Like the piano of fitness!

I'm 6'3, I have not been overweight all my life. I have always been with a few extra pounds here and there.
I have tried to lose weight unsuccessfully for quite a while now. Over the years my weight kept on increasing due to a lot of work and very little physical activity. This time will be different because I am more active than before, I am watching very carefully what I eat and I am controlling my appetite.
Fat just melts off when you're starting from severely obese conditions. It get harder to lose weight when you become lean.
This I can definately identify with! I still have 20 pounds or so to lose. But I have pretty much maintained my 50 pound weight loss for 5 years or so.

How do you control your appetite? I have the night time munchies all the time. Never did figure out how to get past it.
