Drinking eight cold, 8-oz glasses of water will burn about 80 calories. Better than nothing, but it can't replace the benefits of exercise!

Also, a person's metabolism refers to the process of burning through calories (oversimplified but what people usually mean when they talk about metabolic rates). Water has no calories. It does take energy to heat the cold water to body temperature (about 10 calories per glass), but drinking it doesn't improve your metabolic rate. You won't burn calories faster--you're just raising your body temp.

Track everything you eat. I'm not, and have never been into the whole counting calories thing... but it you follow the above advice you shouldn't have to anyway. The key is eating a lot of fresh and unprocessed foods. Superfoods being even better!

Darky leafy greens
Nuts (raw almonds and brazil nuts)
Avocados
Artichokes
Beans and Legumes
Fresh Fruit
Miso Soup
And lots and lots of water with lemon!

In regard to grains: Try your best to stay away from high glycemic foods (such as breads and white rice), wheat and of course refined sugars. You'll drop weight fast if you follow this and throw in some exercise.

Good luck!

Just because its herbal does not necessarily mean its safe.
If your a diabetic and taking hoodia do so with extreme caution. It can cause problems with you.
Portion control, watching your food and excercising is the best way to lose.

And you're correct. So why are you taking Hoodia diet pills? How much weight have you lost?

Aside from exercise, you need to change your lifestyle in way of diet and food you eat. Not with a quick fix miracle "diet" supplement pill. If you're so health conscious why not drink some apple cider vinegar with "the mother" daily? That has been proven to aid weight loss with no side effects.

Just a thought. A close friend of mine who is of Chinese decent and who is very pro-homeopathic will not touch hoodia. If that does not speak volumes, then I dont know what else does. The long term effects of hoodia is not known.
There is no "quick fix miracle "diet" pill". Never has been, never will be. Its been proven if you cut salt, sugar, hydrogenated oils, enriched flour, and high fructose corn syrup out of your diet, not only do you become healthier but you also lose weight. Basically I've gone back to the way my Great Grandma cooked in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Its amazing the difference. Plus the food quality is great and the taste is even better.
