I even have to eat more the day AFTER a weightlifting day, which means I probably have to eat more the day before as well. If I lift three times a week, that means I have to eat more EVERY DAY!

Thank you for the warning. Or underlining the warnings my body is already giving me.

What is your workout routine like? I'm starting to get the impression that you're on a cutting phase type diet yet working out like you were on a mass or strength phase, which could be contributing to these problems.

Bosco, you are correct. The underlying issue is my antsiness to get results quickly, rather than getting gradual results that I can maintain and build upon over an extended period.

I'm getting impatient with myself. Frustrating!

My workouts are pretty intense: up to an hour of light aerobics, 15 min. of stretching, then over an hour of weight training. This is not amenable to a 1600 or 1800 calorie a day eating plan!

I'm up a couple of pounds this week. Not too concerned about it though. My entire body is more toned and more muscular after 2 or 3 weeks of basic weight training. I'm not any fatter either as my pants fit the same.

I did have to eat more to keep up with my weight training and cardio.

I have this weird, euphoric feeling in the morning now. It's been a week of hard weight training and a lot of aerobic activity. I think your body does release some sort of endorphins after hard workouts.

Or, perhaps it's the body repairing itself and feeling slightly sluggish. I don't know. But recovery feels good.

Get a tape measure and start taking measurements to supplement the scale. Scales can be lying, deceitful *******.

Just finished a 2+ hr workout. It was majestic. Just riding around and walking around my cities. Wonderful! Will it increase muscle mass? Will it reduce body fat percentage?

All I care about was that I had a good time and it was exhilarating!

Awesome!

I tried a new workout: kickboxing! I bought a punching bag for next to nothing and decided to finally try it out. After 15 minutes, I decided I had had enough. I am so sore today! Feels good!

Also, I've decided that "weight loss" is not the proper goal. Fat reduction and lean mass gain are the proper goals. First, I am focusing on fat reduction. I want to reduce body fat to the point where my six pack is visible.

Then, I will go on a moderate bulking plan. And I do mean moderate. The goal is to gain about 10 lbs. of lean mass, along with a lot of strength.

I'm not trying to become some bizarre lacking orange musclehead however. This is for improved fitness, health and to have more fun playing sports.

Watch what you eat, and lots of fitness.
