This guy has invested some time in training. The dogs are soooo good and patient! And beautiful! The second video, with the puppies all lined up is too cute.
I totally agree with making dogs earn their food by waiting patiently until released to eat. I did this with by previos lads and plan to continue with the next pups.
Granted we don't have the number of dogs he has, but we have 3 big dogs and are currently pet-sitting a 100lb German Shep.
We don't have any problems at meal time because we too employ the sit-wait-then be released by alpha (us) to eat method. The white dog in the picture was our foster turned our dog we adopted. She is now 7 months old. She learned her manners so fast by watching the big kids do as they were asked! We also have been through obedience classes and highly recommend them to ALL dog owners. Manners are essential for daily structure, setting good examples in public and at home with company.
This is a picture taken a few days ago while on trip to a mountain cabin.
I love the beginning of the 2nd vid where all the dogs are sitting patiently except for the little boxer pup. then it catches on and sits. if these were kids, I swear you'd start hearing someone grumble "what's the hold up here"! it's amazing to think there are people out there who believe puppies can't be trained at a very young age and pits and rotts can't live w/ other dogs. these videos obviously prove otherwise
this guy could give Caesar Millan a run for his money! now, if he could pull off the same thing w/ my 2 cats (who will literally dance on their tiptoes and try to jump on the counter as I scoop out food from the can), then he'd be a master trainer!
