Sorry about your baby, but you did the right thing. You heard yelp with pain and low heart rate gums blue, may had brain damage if came out of it. Will be waiting at rainbow bridge happy and healthy and waiting on hugs and kisses.

I agree with the others you did the right thing. I am sure a vet knows the difference between vestibular disease and a failing heart. If it had been vestibulars he would have said so. If a pet can be saved most Vets will tell you and give it a try as they get no joy from ending a life. From what you have told us it sounds like a heart issue. Try to stop second guessing yourself as all that causes is alot of pain for you..Instead try to see it as a last gift of love you gave your beloved friend, your dog.

I also agree with all of the others...losing a pet is an extremely difficult thing to go through and it sounds like you gave your pup an awesome life, so try to focus on the good times and memories you have. It sounds to me like you did the right thing and a vet would have told you if there were any other options, so you should not beat yourself up or doubt your decision. I'm so sorry for your loss!

Yea thanks everyone, i was sure i did the right thing. Just wanted some extra confirmation. But on the bright side i still have 3 healthy pups! I'm only 20 and have had dogs my whole life so its no shock to me that yes they really do die! It was just the first time i was there, and had to take her to get her put down. All my other dogs were lucky and simply went to sleep and never woke up.

It doesn't matter if it is the first time or the third. It never gets any easier. Give those other pups some extra attention now because they will notice that one is gone from the pack.

So sorry for your loss. First I am not a vet. But given what you related. The pulse issues would not becaused by seizures or vestibular disease. It feels to me like you did right. Not sure this is comforting but there are very few times when you are 100% sure, this is normal. It is always difficult to show that kind of love. My thoughts and prayers for peace and healing.

I'm so sorry for your loss - it's never easy letting our furkids go. Just as you're doubting your decision with doing it too soon, it's the same for waiting too long.

With time, I'm sure you will come to peace with your decision and take comfort in the memories you had with your companion.
