I found out my dog has ear mites. I got a product from the Vet called Revolution. The vet cleaned her ears and put the Revolution on her back. Now my fathers dog had also been here and I told him his dog may have gotten them. He had Frontline on his dog. Will that prevent his dog from getting them? I'm a little confused on how the topical treatments work.. How will they kill the mites in the ears if they are done on the body? Any advice appreciated!
Frontline does help, but I dont know if it will get rid of a bad infestation. I have one dog that is very susceptible to mites. I use a cheap horse ivermectin. The topical meds are absorbed thru the skin to kill the parasites.
