That is so sad that his humans would do that. But I am glad he is safe rather then out in the elements, He looks like a beautiful hound and I hope some one opens their home and heart to him.
Only a cowardly person would abandon their pet in a park, instead of re-homing. Its too bad whoever did this won't be held accountable for their low life actions. Hope Oscar gets a loving home for Christmas.

I have a feeling that he already does. Considering how jittery he was, I hope that new home quiet and peaceful.
Oscar is on a seven-day hold and will be eligible for adoption Monday at the Hurricane Animal Shelter located at 2084 S. 700 East, approximately 2 miles south of state Route 9 in Hurricane.
Normally a 7 day hold gives the owner a chance to make a claim. Hopefully, not this time.
Horrid people. I hope he gets the best home possible. Why can’t people take the time to go to a shelter or last resort, the pound?
2 of our senior rescue dogs had been abandoned. One took awhile to trust us but we had her for several years and she was happy and healthy almost to the end. The other dog never got over the fear of being abandoned. If we left the room he would follow. Outside he would look around to be sure we were still there. He really loved people despite someone being terrible to him. (He was found in a car about to be repossessed in winter in Chicago.)
