[quote=blueskywalker;47129983]I felt obligated to post this. I've never heard of the brand. Hopefully, nobody here feeds it to their dogs.
[url=http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-evangers-pet-food-recall-0209-biz-20170208-story.html]Wheeling-based Evanger's recalls dog food over fears it may contain euthanasia drug
I do feed Evangers and will continue to do so. This is the first recall they have had and I do feel they have dealt with it in a very responsible way .As of yet the drug has not been found in the food and if it ends up having some in it I would say the supplier is at fault and even then maybe it is more our government regulations that deal with pet food.
My dogs do not eat Evangers everyday as some days I cook for them if I am making food for myself that is also healthy for them or they may get sardines or even a different brand of dog food, but they do get Evangers and love it.
Years ago I had a can of Hunk of Beef when I was visiting my elderly father he picked the open can up smelled it and said that smells good enough to eat, maybe I will take after my grandmother. His grandma had dementia and they found out she had been eating canned dog food so it is sort of a joke in the family. But yeah it smelled delicious and it was nice big hunks of beef like you would find in a human stew.
I do find it interesting that there are not more reports of sick dogs .I also see once again people just jump on the band wagon before the real facts are even out.Sure pass on the info about a recall but do not slander a company before you know the facts.I have read some very nasty posts being made and feel it is quite undeserved as I said the company is dealing responsibly. I for one will stand by the company and continue to feed Evangers.
