Thanks in advance for any help. I just noticed that one of my dog's nail has come completely off. All I have in the house to put on the wound is 'Panalog Cream' that was prescribed for a disease my other dog has. Does anyone know if that would help? I don't have anything to bandage it with, either.
Would it be better to just let her keep licking it? She's on Rimadyl for a rear leg injury, also. I just don't want her to be in anymore pain that possible. Much appreciation for advice/feedback.

So sorry...I just took another look and it's not one of her claws; it's a wound with the hair gone, about the size of a silver dollar. I have no idea how this happened. Maybe it's better to just let her keep licking it (??). Thanks again.

Without seeing the area, it would be hard to tell what to do. I would phone my Vet.

If the area is bleeding, that should be stopped before doing anything else. If you have nothing in the house to stop bleeding, warm salt water may help.

If it is not bleeding, & your dog is irritating the area by licking it, you could apply the cream that you have. Place a sock to cover the paw & tape to keep it on.
