Our ( mutt ) pointer/beagle mix has been diagnosed with vestibular disease.
Seems to be no cure, but we have been told that they will usually recover after several weeks. We have also heard that some ppl will put a dog down because of this disorder simply from lack of patience to allow the animal to recover.
Vet says to wait it out but now it has been over 4 weeks and she seems worse. Do we wait it out ? It is so hard to see her like this and now I understand why one might be inclined to euthanize. She shakes, walks in circles, drools uncontrollably, eyes darting , can't control her bladder, and falls flat on her face when trying to run or go up / down stairs. Ugh!

Any counsel on this would be appreciated .
Thanks

So sorry to hear that. There are a few posts about this.

Search "Vestibular" in the forum search function.
