Thank you to everyone!

So today the fun begins. Now I have to deal with the rescues up north that are pulling one of the dogs. 'High end' breed specific rescue. I swear if this dog had anyone else interested I'd tell this group to stuff it! Don't know what makes them think they can act this way. Well, I guess I do. They know we're not going to let the little guy down. Ugh!

I have to get dressed. Trips to a lot of vets, the county office to see if the County Exec will let us set up a separate account for vetting these dogs so we can get them on transports to rescues then dropping off more donations. Oh, and pulling the two dogs to bring back here! Mike said he picked up a Lhasa or Shih Tzu yesterday too so I'll see if anyone will agree to pull it so I can bring it back here too.

I agree on the hounds. Finding them homes is so hard! They seem to have luck in the northeast. Almost every single one in my rescue went on transport to homes up there. They're just a dime a dozen here thanks to the hunters with no concern about what to do with their non-working dogs they're producing. *sigh*

Thanks Luv! I had someone call today about adopting Rico for their 7 year old daughter. Not sure Rico would have been a good fit, but Peanut sure would so I told her about him. Will see if it goes anywhere. Fingers crossed!

I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!

Oops. Sorry. I thought we were having a Pointer Sisters sing-a-long.

Huge congratulations! Job well done, Ronni!

How goes it? Have you had a chance to take two deep consecutive breathes or manage to get in 30 winks?

You had written some posts about leaving TN and moving um to New England I think. Is that plan now on hold or scuttled all together?

I hope that all is going well and you are making headway with all those ambitious plans and that the county authorities live up to their promises of cooperation and help.

AMAZING. WONDERFUL. FANTASTIC.

Would you like to have some Kuranda beds? Your shelter is listed on their donation page.

Donate to White County Animal Shelter in Sparta, Tennessee | Kuranda Dog Beds

I'd love to donate a couple if you let me know what sizes would be best.

Oops! I meant to post to your newest thread but I guess this one will do.

I know Sterling Animal Shelter is Mass. is always getting hounds and hound mixes from down south, and they are adopted very quickly. There isn't much of a hunting-with-dogs tradition in the Northeast that I know of.
Best thanks to the OP for the rescue work.

Not like the south.

I was surprised when I went to NC to pick up my hound from a hunting injury.

Many trucks had dogs boxes.
