I think it is how they are raised!!! What about German Shepherds?? Or Dobermans, they have known to attack too. That is wrong to bann a certian breed. I know lots of pits and rotties that are the best dogs.

Actually, on most of the "dangerous" breed lists German Shepherds and Dobermans are included as well. The breeds that are normally at the top of the list are "pit bulls" of course , American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Then other breeds like Rottweilers, Dobermans, Chows, Huskies, German Shepherds, Cane Corsos, Mastiffs and a couple more, but I can't remember them right now, I'll add them in a minute, I have to find them real quick. Now cities are starting to ban breeds like Irish Wolfhounds, St. Bernards, etc and some cities are even banning every breed that is 100 pounds and over. I think that what a lot of people don't realize is how many breeds and mixes are actually being affected by this crap! I'm sure that a lot more people would be against this if they realized that their Labs, Golden Retrievers, Irish Wolfhounds, St. Bernards, etc are being affected right along with the "pit bulls", Rottweilers and Dobermans! I completely agree with you! It is wrong to just ban certain breeds! Every breed can and does attack and every breed can cause serious harm and even kill! It's the owners, not the dogs and once these so-called "dangerous" breeds are gone we will still have the same bad people getting dogs and abusing them, neglecting them, torturing them, training them to be mean and fight, etc! Those same people will start using different breeds and nothing will change! We need to fix the real problem instead of just covering it up for a while!
