LOL!

My dog will DESTROY rubber toys and balls, but she babies her "babies" (stuffed animals). She just carries them around, licks them, maybe squeaks them a little bit, and rests her head on them. A few months ago, she accidentally poked a hole in one of her "babies," and when a piece of stuffing came out, she got upset (she kept looking at it, licking the stuffing a tiny bit, and then whimpering.). When I sewed it back together, she was one happy girl.

It cracks me up that she MUTILATES rubber toys, but is SO gentle with her stuffed toys.

I used to have a westie...(who I have no doubt is now ruling the land just over the rainbow bridge)..she had a pretty dominant terrier personality.....except there were a couple of times when this old girl went "broody" and would retreat to a little used closet with a soft toy.....and she would curl up with it and treat it like it was her puppy. After a day or two of cuddling it and licking it and some gentle whimpering, and soulful looks.....she would forget about it and come back out of her self imposed "confinement"....forgetting all about her "baby"....ready to take on, and run, the world once again.
