Shermyn just sits there being nice and cute while the cashier gives him treat after treat after treat. At home he mostly gets baby carrots and frozen-milk-cubes as treats (have to keep his weight stable), so dog biscuits are a major novelty to him. I get annoyed when they give him like 4-5 treats, but since he doesn't go there very often, and he does't get them at home, I put up with it. But I hadn't thought of the dogs with allergies! The cashiers should really ask before handing out the treats.

I have always had the cashiers ask me first. Jazz would not take treats for some one she does not know and Dazzle often spits them out but the others have all come to expect a treat from those cashiers.
