Hello, I am looking to move to Portland Oregon soon with my 2 dogs and just thought I would put out a hook on this forum too in case someone on here knows of any dog amenable properties or landlords. Like any "hot" rental market, it seems like there are more applicants than housing in Portland, so landlords can find renters without pets and many have a no pets policy. Been posting on the Portland forum for a few weeks and I can tell you there is some (read SOME, not all,
so please don't get offended) very strong anti dog sentiment amongst the regular posters there. All doom and gloom, telling me how my 2 dogs are going to make me homeless in their city. Well, enough with the Debbie downers. I realize it makes it a little more challenging, but that is no reason to tell me to give up my dogs. 10,000 dogs die every day in US shelters, many for people dumping them on "moving day". It goes without saying that this is not an option for me. Recently another poster on there from out of state posted a photo of his 3 dogs and asked for advice finding housing and you would not believe how nasty some responses were ...
