Does your dog like to seek refuge under the bed/couch? As soon as I open the bedroom door, BOOM!, under the bed he goes. He also goes under the couch in the Living room and in the bottom tier of a two - tiered coffee table.
Yes! Under the bed, under the dining room table and behind the sofa are the places we look for our dog when we get ready to leave the house and need to shut him into the kitchen and laundry room.
In the warm weather, my lab and terrier love to sleep under the bed. If we tell the lab to "go to his room", he dives under the bed. In the cooler weather, he prefers sleeping on the couch and the terrier is up in the bed with the people.
Yes. My Brittany always borrows into the corner of my closet, or under the sofa or bed. She used to only do this during a thunderstowm, but now does it a lot for no reason.
My dog, Chipper, loves to crawl under the bed at my parent's house (my house I have too much stored under there for him to go under there now). He loves to lay under the dining room table, coffee table and in the corner behind my recliner and he can look out the window. But you can also find him on the couch or on the bed.
Missy [American Eskimo] considers our bed as her refuge.....whenever she steals something from my wifes purse or if she's in trouble...it's UNDER the bed.
As long as the dog doesn't get territorial about the location, I think it's fine.
My 6 yr old female likes to go under the lanai stairs (she's dug it our under there ). Every once in a while, she'll "mark" it by peeing in there. She's never been aggressive about the location - with people or other dogs - so we let her go under there when she wants.
No, most of mine couldn't fit under it even if they tried, lol. They'll either claim a spot on the sofa and try to burrow or run to their crates. It's a hard life.
