On my dog (Bichon), not mine. How do you prevent it or clean it up? He drinks filtered water (not distilled) and eats Hundnflocken by Solid Gold. He has a stainless steel bowl (one for food and one for water).

I thought of getting Angel Eyes but it may not work and it's expensive to try. Someone at a pet store said it was just an extract of pure liver. I thought that was suspect.

What do you do?

I use Angels' Eyes on my Bichon and have found that it works very well. I know that it is pricey, but it is worth it to me. Also a bottle lasts quite a while...good luck.

Honestly, tear stains are very hard if not impossible to get rid of. Those dogs you see in dogs shows, the Handlers use chalk to cover it up. Best thing is to just leave it IMO. I worked as a groomer for a few years, and tried all kinds of products on my shih tzu and none of them worked, including Angel Eyes. So I just left her alone.
