Do they always remain close or do they eventually forget they are mother-daughter/son and fight like they don't know each other?

I am asking cause even though my chihuahua had couple of litters, they were all given away so I am curious if they are always close.

Some remain close but it has nothing to do with a relationship. Some do not. And, if separated as they usually are, if they do meet up later it would be no different than any other 2 dogs meeting up.

Of course, if they continue living in the same house or even the same neighborhood where they meet up often with each other they might consider each other fellow pack members. They would react with each other just as any two pack members would.

I had a dog that I adopted while she was pregnant. She only had three pups that survived so I kept them. After the pups were grown up they treated Angel like any other female dog in the pack. They would have little fights from time to time but nothing serious.
