Hello,

I am looking to get a Great Dane puppy soon, but not having much luck. Does anyone know of any litters, breeders, etc near me. I'm in Leesburg, VA and I willing to to travel 2-3 hours in each direction to find one. I keep looking online, but everything is in TX, Ohio, or faraway.

Thanks for any assistance.

Rich

Try this breed club in VA -Great Dane Club of the Tidewater. Members will be from all over the general region.
They can point you to who has or will have puppies. They also will know of any rescued Danes needing homes too.

Please reconsider getting a puppy and look to adopt one of the many dogs put up for adoption all over the country. Try Rescueme.org. All you have to do is register the breed you are looking for and the states you are willing to visit to get a perfectly good dog. Or Petfinder or even your local shelter. Many people start off with great dane puppies and act SURPRISED when the puppy grows up to be too big for their apartment or home or kids. These are the dogs surrendered and needing homes.

Thanks and all my dogs in the past have come from shelter. I have one which is now 14yo and has been the sweetest dog. Because GD do not live as long, I would love to get a puppy to grow with us, but I have also been looking into local rescues.

Thanks,
Rich
