I have a special breed of rescue dog. It is a female Spoiled Rotten Fox Terrier named Pooch (I've talked about her before).
SIL came over a few minutes ago to give me a haircut ... outside, in the shade, nice breeze. A few chunks of hair on the ground (I guess I'm not TOTALLY bald). He and I were chatting when Pooch went over and started eating the chunks of my hair. She ate all of them.
Here's the question ... Do I add 'hair eating' to my description of Pooch? Never, ever have I heard of a dog eating hair. I know they will lick themselves until the get a bald spot, but just munching on hair baffles me.
Anyone else have this happen? Is ol' Dad in possession of the next circus side show star? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The hair might have been moving in the wind, and many dogs can't resist that. Our dogs will eat anything and everything on the ground. Before I vacuumed up all the tufts of dog hair in our screened porch, our little guy would eat them sometimes.
