Whatever he is, he's CAYOOTE.

However, I hope you didn't pay a lot for him, especially since you don't know what he is.

You got him from an irresponsible breeder so, unless you paid for a purebred puppy, don't worry about his breed or mix. Just provide him with the leadership, training, and love he needs to be a great dog.

What a cutie!!

I did a quick Google search on lab-pit mix puppy images and as another poster mentioned, the cheeks don't look right for that kind of mix. I can't quite figure out what the other breed(s) mixed in might be, though

Either way, hope your furniture, railings, and wood trim survive the chewy puppy stage -- and KONG is going to be your best friend. And maybe a frisbee, or chuck-it!

Yes Sundance was a real easy name to pick after the Wife named Butch! They came to us at 20 Lbs and are already going on 6 months and are over 50 Lbs. Here are their favorite and least favorite activities. They don't like to sleep since it cuts into their play time and chow time!

Sorry to revive such an old but I was searching online and came across this and had to register and post about our experience with a puppy that is/was identical to the OP's dog.

We got him in October of 2014 which is almost the same timeframe as the puppy here. Still not sure what he is. We are thinking he is lab/pit/chow mix. Who knows. Maybe they're brothers.

As soon as I figure out how to add attachments I will post pictures. I have no clue where to attach thumbnails.

Unless u get an expensive DNA test (whose reliability is prolly questionable) no one could tell for certain. Enjoy.

No I totally understand that, it's just that the timeframe of the two puppies, along with similar backstories on how we got them added to the fact that they (in my opinion) are identical makes me wonder if they're related..who knows, maybe it's just a big coincidence. See for yourself.

If she attacks somebody later in life, she's probably mostly Pit Bull!
Or a poorly raised ___________ (Fill in the blank- could be any breed)

I think he meant the newspapers will identify it as a pit bull, not that being a pit would make it a biter.
