We have 4 dog beds around the house for 2 dogs. They are the right size. Toby the Maltese sleeps in all of them most of the time. But half the time Lucy the Bichon is half in/half out on the floor next to it and on the area rug. She always starts out every night in her bed but is rarely there in the morning. These dogs remind me of Lucy.

No. At night, my guy either sleeps on his half of my bed -- he's not a cuddler, so he's very good at sticking to his side -- or his end of the sofa. During the day, he has a couple other spots he likes to hang. I've never bought him a bed.

If by "his bed" you mean "the bed the people sleep in", then yeah, Teddy sleeps in his bed. It was so cute and cozy when he was 8 weeks old, 9" tall and 8 pounds. He's 52 pounds now. Now he's Karma acts like a princess and likes to be free of disruption, so she sleeps on a sofa across from the bed.

Yes. Sometimes.
One of them is always on the blue bed but the other might be on the floor or on the brown bed.
They sleep in the kitchen/dining area.

Our Lab heads upstairs every night to her bed in the hallway outside the bedrooms. Our Golden just recently (very recently, like a week ago), began using her bed in the bay window of our dining room. She can't climb the stairs these days. I bought some 3" memory foam, and a dog bed cover, and made her a 6" mattress that she seems to appreciate.

For the longest time the dogs seemed totally disinterested in the beds.

They start out there. The mystery breed with the very thin coat will sleep on her bed; the Golden will typically pass on the bed and lay on the floor (unless it's really cold out). On very cold nights though, we'll awaken in the morning to 2 60lb lumps, tightly curled on our bed.

We also have 2 dog beds in the family room - they definitely lay on those in the evenings when we're watching TV - unless, it's warm out, in which the Golden will lay on the hardwood floor instead - especially if she can get the spot near the A/C vent and lay with her paws on that....

My dog is very good at sleeping in her bed at night. During the day it's 50/50 sometimes on our couch sometimes her bed.

Our Basenji mix will start out on the carpet in bedroom but when I have to wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I see that he's curled up on his bed. The Lab is on his bed throughout.

Yes she does! The first night we had Tribbles we had placed a doggie bed next to our bed in the bedroom, and she immediately curled up on that. I think she may have had a similar bed in her previous home. And she's been sleeping there ever since (4 months). She doesn't seem to be interested in sleeping in our bed at all. She even goes to bed before we do. Around 10 pm she heads upstairs to bed! 16 months old puppy, and she's already got her sleep habits! She has a big stuffed Shepherd toy doggie that she sleeps next to. It's very cute.

First Dog slept in our bed until she got too old to jump up. Then she slept in the spot where Tribbles sleeps now. Sweetie preferred to sleep on her couch in the enclosed porch, although she did come upstairs with us on particularly cold nights. Such individuals! We bought her a fabulous bed from Costco, and she hated it. She wouldn't even try it.

Ours always sleep in them at night, if you say its bedtime they rush upstairs and get in them before we even make it into the roam. The hound has a bed on the floor and the beagle has a bed in an armchair with a blanket in it, and she insists on being covered(we crank the ac at night). The hound has a blanket but doesn't like to be under it.

During the day they sleep on the couch, since the beds are upstairs. Sometimes the hound will sleep under the desks on the floor if he feels like it.

They will both get in the people bed in the morning if you invite them up. Which generally leads to about 30sec of cuddles then they treat the bed like their personal wrestling ring and force us to get up lol
