Please don't let this poor dog be used as a breeder to introduce even more designer dogs. Her fluffy coat is an anomaly but there will be those who go after Sharpeis thinking theirs will be fluffy too.

Cute, but not a dog I'd ever want. Sharpeis are high maintenance and I have an aversion to dogs that would likely not survive being lost in the woods for a week.

Why does the article call him a "hybrid." He looks purebred to me with a common recessive coat gene that pops up in a lot of dogs.

That fluffy coat will likely exacerbate the skin problems the Shar Pei already has.

Who are you? Someone who's ok with the millions of dogs put down every year in the U.S. in large part because people decided to breed the next "cute" or "popular" type of dog?

It's figurative. The joke is that the dog looks like a teddy-bear/sharpei hybrid.

She's adorable. I dont see anything in the article to even hint at breeding her. She is not a designer dog. She is a purebred with a recessive coat---- including the color. Isabella is not a common color in that breed.

She looks like a good quality pup. If she came from a show breeder, she is most likely on a spay/neuter contract since she is not showable.

A puppy chow chow would look very similar.

Coming back to say that all puppies are adorable. As precious as that one is now, she won't be nearly as cute as an adult.
