I have a 17 week old Pomeranian. She has been Peeing up to 20 times a day in the house and outside. She is mostly trained to go outside to urinate and poop.but the last three days she has been throwing up in the house and peeing all over the place.she has been vomiting all the food she eats and it comes out undigested in rolls. Other than that she acts fine plays all day plays with her toys with me. Also took her to the vet and she had no idea what might be wrong. Any help you can give me with this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank y
I agree - take her to another vet. If her food is coming up undigested, she may have eaten something causing a blockage in her digestive tract. A pup that young needs to be watched closely for dehydration too.
Vet ASAP, it could be blockage (hoping it is not), pancreatitis. Vomitting for 3 days is sign of a medical emergency, esp for such a tiny dog. She is very likely dehydrated from vomitting several days. Hope for the best for your little puppy. Please do update us, we care.
Is the puppy vomiting or is it regurgitation . I have put what the difference is below.
Regurgitation is different from vomiting. Vomiting is an active process where your dog's sides start to heave and most or all of her stomach contents are purged. Often with vomiting, there's a short window of time during which you can get your dog outside before she throws up.
Regurgitation is very different. It's a passive and unexpected act. Your dog's just kind of hanging out and in a split second, up comes food.
I mention it as a friend had a puppy with mega esophagus and he had regurgitation rather then vomiting.
Vomiting can be due to so many issues including parasites which is a common issue with puppies. You need a vet as none of us can tell you the cause. Hope you get the issues solved ASAP.
Bring a sample of the pee (it can be gotten from a peepee pad, even if you just use it to mop up her pee from the floor and a sample of her vomit. If she has pooped, bring in a sample of that as well.
Hoping that the OP took her into a different vet??
