I have fostered dogs and have my own and have yet to find a dog who likes antlers. I would say I have offered them to 10 or more dogs and not one taker. Which surprises me because they take up a huge section at the pet store.
Were they real antlers? Or some kind of pet product composite. Antlers in nature are hard to find because the mice usually get there first. So the few antlers I have I have not given to the dogs but use them decoratively.

Have I just had a bunch of picky chewers?
dogs like them more when they're younger and teething, but my experience, while limited, was that dogs love antlers, especially if the marrow is exposed rather than it being a 'cylinder' with the marrow inside.
My older dog loves them. Too much. She has actually chewed the hollower centers out in a day which is much too fast. We no longer give them to her because she is wearing and chipping her teeth.
I've often been tempted to buy one and try it with my dog, but I've resisted..they seem expensive, compared to the raw meaty bones I usually give my dog. So I have stuck with RMB. Or peanut butter in a Kong.
My dog turns up his nose at pig ears, although he demolishes a bully stick in about 5 minutes.
Both the one year old and the 11 year old love them!!! I buy split ones, there is a scent to them that the dogs can smell, a gamey one. Just not strong enough for us to smell. You can also reactivate the scent with water.
My dogs gave them a try and did not like them. They would rather chew a nylabone for months on end than an antler. Those antlers are not cheap either. Sure, there are some benefits for the dogs to chew on deer antlers. But what good does it do if the dogs don't like them?
If you want them to chew on something, I hear raw bones (not chicken) is good for them. Not the cooked ones.

I give my boy a cow femur every few days. Keeps him pretty happy. I have also given him chicken necks and chicken wings (all raw), and he does just fine with those.
My dogs loved their antlers the one and only time I bought them, at a rural feed and seed store at a reasonable price. Several months ago somebody gave me a full rack that they found in the woods, and I've been waiting for my husband to cut them up ever since.
