Domestic
Shepherdstown, VA

Best fine dining (if you like to dress well and bring your doggie.. we were tourists doing lunch, the other peeps are well dressed but service is awesome.. fine dining price), well behaved dog allowed inside the restaurant. Lots of great indoor space inside for dawggie to navigate.

Awesome brews.
Great food.

South Beach Grill, OBX, NC.

Even have a whole array of doggie menu dishes..
Roman is having turkey fried brown rice with and egg..
He had a human hamburger with no onions as takeout another day.

Very dog friendly staff.. everyone from the cooks to the host and waitress have to visit with the dawggie.

P.S. Best she crab soup in town.

In Mass and Maine bringing dogs inside the restaurant is illegal.

In Maine, I don't think you can even bring the dog on to a deck or outside service! Big fine for the restaurant if they allow it. In Mass you can have the dogs at outside service.

I tell ya tho - I love this thread! I'm taking notes! I may not make it down that way again, but if I do, I will sure know where to go!

A place that allows dogs to roam on the inside- yeah, not my idea of "fine dining" in the least.

Oh man.. that is so sad.
But hopefully slowly over time...
Maybe? they will open up to the idea if other state restaurants does some dog friendly events and well behaved dawggie n owners can spread their examples and get their rules to loosen up.

I hate leaving Roman in my car when we go out to eat..
So we look for dog friendly places (especially if outdoors). If not, a Mickey D drive thru is what we get to share without leaving him at all.

But being able to sit down to some decent foods is nice.

Huggs!!!

No dogs are allowed to "roam" in there..
Well behaved owners with well behaved dogs only.
Not for roaming dogs.

Our dog will just lay at our feet not messing with nobody.

Find dining comes at a price so the establishment expect a certain trauned n behaved pooch.

We gladly pay to eat there during off times.

Not for non dog people of course.
(Big sign warning others who prefer otherwise.. that dog's are allowed inside. There is no patio seating at this place)

Currituck BBQ company
Barco, NC

4.4 stars real NC style BBQ.
Place is very packed.

While no dogs are allowed inside the joint..
They have a very impressive outdoors picnic area (covered) that is mini park like settings that is dog friendly. No servers there though.

So its just take out and eat there.
Great for doggie to stretch their legs from an ongoing long trip.
