English shepherds. Aus cattle dogs. Smart. Not over-the-top need to work, but they still need work, and they are good at it.

And when I get so old I can't work the dogs anymore, a lab mix who will be chill, and like staying at home.

Collies are my favorite. I had one growing up and have a 2.5 year old collie now.

We had pugs for a long time and I adore them, one of the best small dogs around. If we didn't already have 2 dogs I'd get another. We just lost our second pug (he was 17 years old).

We have a Bernedoodle right now. He's a really cute, sweet, smart dog as well. I love him, but he was my husband's choice. I was not that enthusiastic about the idea of any doodle mix, but he is so cuddly and doesn't shed, so I get it and like I said...I absolutely love him, he's a really great dog.

From afar, I also love big dogs...Great Danes, Pyrenees, Bernese Mtn Dog...a little too big for me, but I love them.
I love Afghan Hounds, so beautiful but not a good fit for us.
Huskies and Malamutes (I see them here, but with our hot humid summers, I wouldn't make one live here).
Dachshunds and Boston Terriers (but I would get a pug if I was getting another small dog).

I generally love all dogs though

Favorite breeds, yorkies, bulldogs, white shepherds, mutts.

I really like Jack Russell’s but don’t need that high energy. Long coat collies are beautiful, but all that hair is too much. Right now, three of my four dogs have to go to the groomer. I won’t be getting another long hair dog.

Love all except pitbulls.

Saw a white dog at the vet that looked like a Irish setter....beautiful but didn't get to ask the owners about him...are there white Irish setters?

I adore nearly every dog I meet that is even half-way friendly (but always steering clear of really aggressive or security dogs). One breed that has a particular appeal to me is the Norwegian Elkhound. Truly a beautiful dog with a wonderful and comforting presence!

I love almost all breeds! My favorite is probably the Rhodesian Ridgeback and I've had 4 over the years. I love the terriers and have a couple of those now. LOVE the Kerry Blues (have one). Love Fox Terriers, Sealyhams, and Welsh terriers. I love Irish Setters but probably wouldn't have one. I really love the Black Russian Terriers; maybe someday if I retired to a nice farm. But to be honest, I don't really want the responsibility. Love the Irish Wolfhounds but they don't live long enough. I like the Spaniel breeds a lot.

I'm not a fan of thick-haired dogs like Shepherds, Akitas, Huskies, etc. I think they're great dogs but I do NOT like dog hair!

The only dogs breed I truly hate are the pit bull type dogs and Mastiff breeds or any "ego" breeds.

Pure white, or dappled? Might have been an English Setter.
