Here in NJ the rabies is every 3 years and you have to have it for a license. I have no idea why I get the rest of them every year but the vet said he felt they were necessary. Now she is gone from cancer, a healthy little dog suddenly in 4 wks of diagnosis was dead. I wish I had known there was a problem and had asked myself why I was doing this every year when I don't get shots every year myself.I would guess they can tell alot from a bloodtest and fecal exam, why vaccines?????
