Another question: do you have a bunch of nicknames for your pets? (I do and also have a bunch of nicknames for my now grown children.) I love nicknames. I have scores for each dog and kid.

My old boy (about 13) now sleeps with the tip of his tongue out. I need to stop taking photos

My old girl loves people and must say hello and get a pat or a scratch from every single person she meets. She's also extremely loyal and always comes when called. When younger she was a Frisbee champ. She used to catch 15 in a row, doing the boomerang thing with her body during the jump. She can't do it anymore. Will chase a few and then quit.

Tell us your dog's cute things and how many nicknames (no actual names unless you wish).

We had a mini dachshund once and he would show his teeth when you asked him. He wasn't growling or sneering either. We'd say "Smile, Benji" and he'd show his teeth.

When I go down the stairs to the front door to leave, he sits at the top and watches. He looks sad but cute because he used to go crazy but now he knows I will come back to him.

He walks around on his hind legs like a human.

He is learning not to bark when he wants something. Instead he "talks"--rrrrrrowwooorrlllll--he talks like a dog-man.

Another smart dog! And maybe he's a circus escapee? (the walking on hind legs)

Wow. You basically just described my dog almost exactly. He does literally all of these things too haha. Is yours part husky?

When I tell them it is time for dinner my little girl waits in the doorway and always brings me one of her toys.

One of my girls has glomped onto a fluffy sock she stole from the laundry basket. She ignores it during the day, but when I make the "bedtime" moves (e.g. turn off the TV), she finds the sock, jumps up on the bed with it and either tries to bury it under my pillow or drops it beside me, like she's giving me a present!
It's so cute.
