I just saw this in one our local papers and thought I would share:

June 20 is the 10th anniversary of Take Your Dog To Work Day, created by Pet Sitters International, an educational association for professional pet sitters. One day each year they urge employers across the country to allow employees to bring their dogs into the workplace to focus on what great companions animals make.

Thanks for the info. Now if only my boss would care to allow it. This place (hell this whole state) is so kid oriented that dogs for the most part, aren't even on anyone's radar. As I'm typing this, my co-workers are all talking about their kids....what a shocker.

I can bring my dog anytime my boss who is allergic to dogs is not here. Boss on vacation this week so the little fella can come this Friday -- I just make sure that he stays in my office and he's already trained NOT to go into boss's office.

We bring our "kid" (dogs) when we have a vet visit and the boss is cool with that as long as they stay in our offices.

I am the boss at my library, but it's city property - so unfortunately I don't get to make the rules. Rudy would get bored anyway, LOL. There is a program at some libraries where dogs read to kids, and I'm thinking of getting him certified for that... they did it where I used to work, and the kids loved it!

Default Big Dog Phobia

My boss is afraid of my baby. He is a 55 pd black lab. He is the sweetest boy. She is just used to little itty bitty dogs. He does have one problem. He has a licking disorder. LOL
