I'm looking for the most indestructible toys out there. I know kongs are, but other than that I can't seem to find a toy that Fez can't immediately destroy.

I bought him a cute sheep and within twenty minutes, the sheep was decapitated and the stuffing was everywhere. Any toys with the braided rope are a bad idea - he shreds the rope into tiny bits of string that remain strewn around the house.

It gets expensive having to replace all of his toys. Just thought maybe some fellow big dog owners could offer some help.

Kongs and Nylabones at least have half a chance in my house .

Something else I'm liking lately is a braided fleece tug toy. As the dogs destroy it, it's easy to knot it back together. Also, the string tug toys leave a million little strings all over the place, these fleece toys are easier to pick up.

Also the Hurl-A-Squirrel/Chuck-A-Duck lasts a little longer than the other soft toys, in my experience.

I had some luck with big strong braided tug toys, also, there is one brand of toys, red in color, and very sturdy, don't remember the name, but every pet store has them. I'll have to look it up.

I have a French Brittany that loved to shred any stuffed animal we bought him...but I found something that he loves, is impossible to destroy, and keeps him thouroughly entertained.
It is a treat - or kibble dispenser that is shaped like a large, plastic dice (sorry, singular is die, right?).
You fill it up through a hole, kind of shake it down so it doesn't come right out, then put it on the floor. My dog loves to paw it around to make the treats come out, plus I think he enjoys all the racket he makes with it.
I don't remember the brand name of the toy, but it did come with a warranty, and I did buy it at one of those larger pet stores, like pet smart or something like that.
Anyways, this took care of the messes I came home to almost every day...and is healthier for him. It cracks me up, because if I don't put it up on the counter at night, he makes A LOT of noise with it, and thourougly enjoys it! I hope this helps.

LOL, i can only imagine! I have this plastic cube, it's pretty big, and you can put treats in it. So my dogs will roll it all over the house (we have tile) and make this incredibly loud noise!! I can't stand it for too long. It does keep them busy and entertained for a while. They wont give up untill all the treats are out

Try Dog Toys - Dog Supplies any of the toys that say "combat" or "combat extreme". Or Kyjen Fire Hose Squeak 'N Fetch Medium or even The Almost Indestructible Ball - Toys - PetSmart I live with a buzz saw on 4 legs and these toys have held up well. My dog will not touch any toy made of rubber, so the Kong toys are not much use at my house.

He's gone through a Hurl-A-Squirrel and a Heave-A-Beaver... LOL I love those names.

The only down side with those is there is some braided rope. When ever there's rope, he goes for that first. I may be overly paranoid, but I don't want him eating string/rope and then having digestive issues because of it. Guess I've heard too many stories from my vet-tech sister.

We've been through some of the "combat" toys. I don't know how he does it... he somehow chews the stitching until he gets a little fray, then he'll just unravel the whole thing. He's more efficient than any stitch-ripping tool out there.

I had gotten him some peanut butter stuffed bones (real bones) from a hoity-toity store called Muttropolis. He's gotten all of the peanut butter out, so I've been refilling with the canned Kong stuffing. It keeps him occupied for a while, at least.

Is he young? Or one of those breeds that need to chew until they are 5? Try some of these Deer Antlerz (http://www.petextras.com/deansm.html - broken link) which take Shadow a minimum of 2 days to eat or Ostrich Tendons Medium (http://www.petextras.com/osteec.html - broken link) or Bullstix - Variety (http://www.petextras.com/buva.html - broken link) or Achille's Tendons (http://www.petextras.com/acten.html - broken link) or Ocean Chews (http://www.petextras.com/oceanchews.html - broken link)

Shadow also takes great delight in disemboweling her toys. I like to give her the treats I linked because they satisfy her need to chew and they are all 100% natural and digestible.

Yes... he's a 10 month old yellow lab.

Ostrich tendons? That sounds painful. Sucks to be an ostrich. Maybe I'll give some of those a try. Thanks for the suggestions.
