Yes and Yes. The exception is when my current dog catches waterbugs in the back yard. She doesnt eat them; she just likes to carry them around. She'll come into the house with an expression on her face that tells me a waterbug is tickling her roof of her mouth. In those cases, I have to wash her mouth out really well -- and, even then, it's usually days before I can let her kiss me without being grossed out.
A few of my dogs, the ones who seemed to be more in tune with me, actually werent lickers. Their way of kissing was to bump my face, an imitation (I think) of how my kissing them appeared to them.
I kiss my dogs on the head. I don't allow them to kiss me. Let's remember their tonges are their toilet paper... do I need to explain? I rather hugh and/or scratch them a lot
I'm not very kissy-kissy with my dog. If I do kiss him, it's usually on the top of his head or on the side of his muzzle. He rarely licks me. If we're lying in bed together and he's snuggled up to me for affection, he may give a couple licks to the hand that's petting him. That's about it. He's just not a big licker.

As a fairly new moma to a 9 mo. old lab mix that we adopted from a shelter 2 1/2 weeks ago, I haven't yet become accustomed to doggy kisses. She tries but I back off. I have seen her lick places that I would rather not have on my face. Hugs, oh yes, lots of them. May have to try the kissy stuff on the top of the head. Brandi is a sweetie.
I kiss mine constantly, on her head, ears, and snout, but not her mouth. I really don't like her licking me anywhere but I tolerate it sometimes on my hands or arms. I don't like the way her tongue feels. It's too "thick", as compared to my cats' tongues. There is that cat-poop eating thing too.
Funny, I love it when my cats lick me and I'll even kiss them on the lips, but not the dog even though I love her just as much!
Love my dogs more than anything.
I always kiss our Rotts, one right after the next, right after the next, right after the next.
They are our world. Rotten spoiled like no other creature, human or animal could be.
They deserve anything & everything. All rescued from bad situations.
They kiss us when they want to, not really on the mouth, unless it's by accident (we not being fast enough to turn our heads).
We would rather kiss our dogs on the mouth, than kiss a baby or a kid...so I guess the real answer would be yes...& yes. LOL !!!
I kiss my dog and she kisses back, and I thought her to kiss on command.
