Do you kiss your dog? Do you let your dog kiss you?

I kiss him on top of the head.

I wouldn't let my dog lick my mouth or lips but he can lick my cheek or chin.

One time, I took the dog to the Kennel and the woman let the dog kiss her face all over and then my daughter said ' He Just Threw Up in the Car'. I just smiled.

ROFLOL!!!!! "He just threw up in the car" That's good.

Me and my partner only allow hands and feet to be licked. Our Frenchies lick their own privates and well.... That's just gross!
We blow gently in their ears. They know thats our version of kisses.

I let my dogs give me kisses on my cheek. Sometime i slap a kiss on their nose hehe. They are not very big kissers, but they always greet me with their tongues out LOL

Our Basenji likes to lick legs. Nothing else.

My bluetick coonhound? No WAY I would ever either kiss her OR let her lick me. You have any idea what that dog eats? LOL! *YUCK*

Eh- I no kissy dogs. Just the wife. (Now if she wants to give me licks... )

Oops.. maybe that should be in the relationship threads

You are far more likely to catch something by kising another human being, than by either kissing a dog or allowing a dog to lick your face. Dogs do carry germs, no doubt about that, but dog germs are not human germs, they are species specific.

Keep the dog's vaccines current and get good external/internal parasite control for your geographical area, and you can smooch your pooch to your heart's content without any problems.

What's that germ called when a bluetick coonhound eats some dead animal in the yard, or some other animals poo...

Oh yeah- it's called the disgusting germ!

My current dog is the only dog I've had that I will gladly accept kisses from, except when he's been mole hunting. He doesn't get into much nastiness, and he's not the type of dog who licks his privates a lot. I don't let him lick me on the mouth though, and no constant licking allowed either, but a little kiss on my chin or cheeks is fine with me. He also likes to kiss my forehead.

And yes, I give him kisses, lots of them, especially the top of his head and while I'm nuzzling my face in that super soft hair behind his ears.
