I have a lab puppy (10 weeks old) and I was wondering if any other lab owners can give me an idea on dog food. I went and bought Canidea (spell check) and I dont know if its doing her any good. Thanks

I want to know specifically from lab owners, not all breeds can eat the same food. My yorkie eats cat food and she is perfectly healthy

There is no one food that is going to be better for a breed, every dog is an individual. Canidae is one of the better foods out there.

I was reading on the net that labs have very sensitive stomachs and I was wondering from other lab owners what they feed their labs

Every lab I've been around would eat anything you give it and be fine.

Every lab I have ever known had a stomach of steel! LOL. Eagle Pack, Solid Gold, are two that I feed my Goldens.
I would be more concerned about feeding your Yorkie cat food. If this is his straight diet, your not helping him any. Dogs and cats have very different needs when it comes to food.

Labs in general are known to be prone to having food allergies. As long as you are feeding something corn & wheat free, unless your dog is like mine. My dog (a golden mix) is allergic to wheat, eggs, chicken, lamb, and liver.

the yorkie is healthy as an ox and she eats straight cat food just because at the time I had cats and she refuses to eat dog food. I guess I will just stick to the canidae or whatever its called even though its a fortune. And labs are prone to allergies and sensitive stomachs. We had coon dogs growin up and all we fed them was a brand called joy and table scraps and they were fine.
