how does such a young pup get separated from Mom?
my sister has a lab/pit mix that someone dropped on their doorstep when it was a few weeks old. Guess it happens but how can you leave a puppy is my question?

What a cute pup! My first thought on seeing the pics was that its a newfoundland. It'll be interesting to see what he/she looks like in a couple of months. Please be sure to post back here -- dont leave us all hanging!

I had a new foundland mix about 20 years ago, this puppy looks just like mine. I had a friend with a New Foundland and she never even knew it was expecting until it delivered because she was so big and furry....

I had a dog that was identical as a puppy he was a Chow Chow same puffyness and a Lab because of the white stripe on its chest

newfoundland was the first thing i saw. its important to know if its a newfie becuase those things can get huge.

Since this thread is so old, I won't feel bad about going off-topic.
Can two purebred solid-color dogs have a puppy with markings, or will their pups be one of their parents' colors?
