Do all of you think that the BSL, "breed bans" is going to stop after they ban pit bulls, boxers, bulldogs, bully looking dogs?

You think your Mastiffs, German Shepherds, Akitas, Rotties, Dobermans, Huskies, Malamutes, Wold Hybrids are going to be safe from the BSL or "breed bans"...
These dogs all share common characteristics, they are large, athletic, strong, great at rescue, therapy type work, etc...
And whats to ban after that, it'll be the labs, collies, they are still large, athletic, and fairly strong dogs with boundless energy.

Soon, the only dogs we'll be able to own is little yorkies, pugs, etc...

People are not going to care about others until they are effected, so when your dog is banned from being large, medium size and athletic, what are you going to do?!

Instead of calling for a "breed ban" we need to put the people who are at fault on the target, irresponsible owners, irresponsible people.
We need to create a law that puts backyard breeders at fault, people who don't train their dogs at fault, people who too easily give up their dogs at fault.

Edit: Sorry about only mentioning BSL, I know of some cities that are banning only "bully" looking dogs, so this post is not just aiming at BSL but for all those people who call for "breed bans" just because they feel their breed won't be affected or ever be banned.
I know plenty of lab, collie owners who feel that their dog is no harm, but all other large, athletic dogs are "dangerous."

No I don't think they will be safe, since they are already listed in some bans. They are already not safe.

There are like 10 breeds BSL in Aurora, CO including the Cane Corso.
Fairfield, IA has BSL against certain breeds and restriction for breeds over 100lbs.

I have mastiffs/molossers. Mainly work with Cane Corso, Boerboel and Caucasian Ovcharka and plan to get a couple Kangals once we get a larger herd. I don't assume they are safe just because they are not a bull breed.

I don't have GSD, Akita, Rott, Dobie, Husky, Mal or wolf hybrid, although I've had a few of those and mixes they are all also breeds already on BSL list. Along with Chow, Shar Pei, Bull Terrier, Presa Canario, Dogo Argentino, Belgian Malinois, American Bulldog and loads of others, there is at least a few dozens breeds I know of. Currently there are already insurance companies which want to prejudice the "friendly lab" do due bite incidents.

I didn't know that about "labs" from insurance companies. Good to know.

I guess my point is that we're not only fighting the BSL with bully types, but "breed bans" could possible attack every type of medium to large size dog.
