Thank you very much. I figured he had shepherd in him because of the coloration but I was interested in seeing what else to expect out of him. He's a great dog though
I second the German shepard mix and the fact he is soooooo cute! When they are so young it is hard to guess the other breeds that might be involved but the shepard does stand out.
I agree. I guess I could throw this question in there too. the vet said he could not be more than 5-7 weeks old. Judging from his current size at this age what can i expect for his mature size. I'm hoping for a big dog and don't know much about the differences in puppy sizes. I have a purebred husky that was about this size whilst a puppy. Should I be expecting a large pup?
Shepard for sure, not sure about what else. He's a cutie. Any idea how old he is?
Vet said no older than 5-7 weeks. I'm thinking he might be on the younger side. He loves warm milk and doesn't seem to be able to see at his full potential. Eyes are a little blue and glazed and when I get more than 15-20 feet away he looks at me weird as if he doesn't recognize me.
your question is the same question I possed to my vet when we ended up with our new puppy. I worded it a bit differently. "Ok, what do you think she is until she goes up to prove us wrong" and well... she proved us all wrong. Should have places bets on the outcome. WE were hoping a Chow Spitz mix but I think we are ending up with a Terrier mix, possible Spitz.

Moral: Wait till the pup grows up for you will end up with a different dog. Meet my Sha'uri at 2 mos old about 1 yeard old.
I'm going with California brown bear with black mixed in, kidding he's cute!
I'm almost inclined to go Rott/Akita mix with the current shape of the head and muzzle.
