A week-old puppy was recovering today after he was accidentally flushed down the toilet.

The tiny cocker spaniel was trapped in a waste pipe for nearly four hours after Daniel Blair, four, decided he 'needed a wash' and put him in a toilet before pulling the chain.

Heard about that, the poor puppy, what an ordeal. Hopefully his mom will keep a closer eye on him with the puppy, kids and puppies (esp newborn) shouldn't be left unattended.

Yeah this is the reason i strongly feel most kids cannot live in a household with dogs.Whether it be a puppy or small breed. But again it comes down to the PARENTS.They need to teach theyre children how to treat and behave around animals. They should also never be left unsupervised. That is how most accidents occur.

Exactly. And apparently the boy's twin brother did something to the puppy b/c it was very dirty which is why his brother 'washed' it in the toilet bowl (how does a 4 day old puppy get dirty in a whelping box w/ its mom right there to help clean it). Mom better get on the ball w/ those boys, they need a lot more supervision than they're getting or the next time this puppy (or its siblings) may not be so lucky ;-(

It's clearly poor parenting that led to this. 99% of the time a story comes out about something crazy happening with a child, the parents are to blame. Poor little puppy, hope it's okay...

KATIE1...
The answer to your remark would be "CRY".

It's ALL the parents fault.
Wish these people that chose to be parents...would be parents...watch your "rug rats". This is very sad. That poor little helpless puppy.
Nothing funny about this story at all.

That woman needs her kids and her dogs taken away from her. She's obviously too much of a flake to be a responsible parent or pet owner. Ticks me off to be honest. And to parade that little brat on TV for her 15 minutes of fame is sick. The entire situation is just sick and sad.

The puppy is one week old.

"His ordeal began after Daniel's twin brother Nicky took him out for a walk in the garden of their house in Northolt, Middlesex."

Who takes a one week old puppy on a walk? Where is the mother and littermates?
