I sure do. But I think it's accompanied by a large dose of guilt. I feel so bad that my dog is home alone. Luckily she has a doggy door and a fenced back yard. Sometimes I'll go home for lunch to check on her. She is 9.5 and almost blind. I worry about her injuring herself. In October I got home from work and found that she had a large gash under her eye. I took her to the emergency vet to get a staple put in, anitbiotics and pain meds. She hasn't injured herself again....yet.

Not when I'm at work (I grew up with dogs, and they didn't see me when I was at school and play practice and marching band and blah blah blah, and they were fine). But we did feel separation anxiety the first and only time thus far that we've boarded him at the vets while we traveled (three-day weekend). Mostly, he comes with us when we travel, because we stay with family ordinarily when we travel. We're going on a four-day weekend in a few weeks, and he can't come, so it's probably going to be rough again.

Definitely! LOL I work from home but errands still have to be run and the time constraints are the ones I place, based on my needs. I know my four will be just fine for up to 4/5 hours but after 3, I'm heading home.

Vacations? With my husband and not the dogs? That won't happen. Yes, I've missed a cruise or two, fun times in Vegas, concerts, etc. but I'm ok with all that. When we do travel to see family, we all go and stay in pet friendly hotels.

There aren't any boarding kennels I'd leave my dogs in and so far, haven't found a pet sitter to come stay 24/7 in our home.

No apologies - it's just the way it is and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have a very hard time being away from my precious fur baby. She is the light of my life, and I just want to be with her all the time. I have pictures of her everywhere to help me cope until I get home (and When possible I have family to go by and check on her).

Mine's not usually "anxiety" but I think about my dog often throughout the workday, and I miss him. And this week he had a dental cleaning and currently has a shaved spot on his arm that we're trying to prevent from turning into a hot spot, and he seems just a little "off" all around, so I HATE being at work away from him. I'd say that for the last couple days, my concern has definitely been more "anxious" than normal.
