My best friend's brother (HA! it sounds like "I know a guy who knew a guy whose cousin's sister-in-law..." but it's not) has been friends with John Travolta for upwards of 20 years and says that you couldn't meet anyone nicer. He's supposedly one of the sweetest people on the planet, and he's been dealt a really crappy hand over the last couple of years. Sad, sad, sad.
So it looks like when dogs are transported via airlines, if they need a walk, they take them out to the runway where there's a lot of foot and vehicle traffic?
The Travolta family has not been having a good year, sending them comforting thoughts from one fur parent to another!
I think they were on a private plane, I dont think they were flown that far (Canada to Maine?), have to wonder if the dogwalker was distracted or tired (1AM) or the dogs were on retractable leashes or the driver just wasnt paying attention, if the area was unlit. Such a shame for the family, esp. the young daughter. But to get back to your question, I c/b wrong but I think normally they stay crated b/c they can get loose and take off.

Thanks for your response!
When I hear things like this, I'm trying to picture the scenario in my mind as to what happened. It's a shame indeed.
