Words cannot express how annoying and old this has gotten to me. Anyone else getting this idiocy? I don't hear people do it socially. Why the @#$% do people do it? Stuff like:
A: "How's the project going?"
B: "So, it's moving along quickly..."
A: "Did you make the deadline?"
B: "So, we worked a few extra hours last night to make it"
A: "Explain your approach."
B: "So, we decided to delay the last phase until later because..."
I have just started using this word in my everyday language; I picked it up earlier this summer while vacationing on the East Coast. It's so...catchy and a perfect starter to a conversation, IMO.
A: "How will we ever mend that garment?"
B: "Sew..."
