Is anyone here familiar with Jacque Fresco and his "Venus Project"? What do you think of it from an economics point of view? Is it practical?

Is utopianism ever practical? No.

Its a nice idea, but as with most utopian ideas it requires a degree of social cooperation that we simply will never see.

Sure it's practical, once we get rid of the idea of finite money and debt.

I really do believe that once we have true artificial intelligence, we'll develop a way to have infinite money, which will enable us to do anything we desire as a society, with abundance for all (think Star Trek.)

Too bad I'll not live long enough to see this wonderful future...
