Well said my friend, and one thing that has caused the US economy to deteriorate is all these anti-union tactics by many politicians.

Yet not everybody is qualified to work a knowledge based job.
Deindustrialization is an inherent good, and is sorely needed.
This doesn't mean we can't forge new grounds and employ millions
in new projects. It means those efforts should look forward to the
21st Century, utilizing technologies that help us live more harmoniously.

That other post gushing about how they don't have government inefficiencies was pretty funny but you've raised the bar enough that we might as well declare a winner and in this thing early.
If enough jobs that are at least equal in quality (pay, benefits, working conditions...) can be created to replace the old industrial ones, it is a positive force. A lot of industrial cities were badly polluted. The problem is that the jobs have not been replaced. You see blight and high crime in Detroit, half the population of many southern towns on disability, depopulation of western towns.
