IRS: "Get My Payment" portal is active (status, tax return, money)

For those Americans who did file taxes but did not include direct deposit information, for the stimulus check, the official portal is now open. I'm not sure if you're able to track payments through the portal, but here it is!

I entered my banking information this morning and it was working fine.

Same with us. I wonder if it only works for people who have to enter their information and not if the feds already have it? They already have ours because of paying with our return last year and also because we both get SS.

I read a yahoo article about the people not being able to enter their information. But the article doesn't address what to do or how they will fix it. Crazy!

It works for some. I was able to enter my information for the direct deposit.

I hope they are able to fix it! The checks get mailed out on April 24th, BTW.

Yeah, the portal's giving me issues. Says it can't find my information

Honestly, worst case, I can wait until a check arrives. Don't need it right away in direct deposit.

The IRS already had my completed income tax return; but they said they did not have my banking information so that it what was submitted.

I then returned to see the status of my payment and when it would be deposited; the site said that it gets updated once per day and to check back daily. I have no idea why it is not working for you. It worked for me both times I went there.
