The engineering department is the group with the highest % of engineers. Everyone else is over-engineering their answers.

It’s about 70% US-born engineers. Of the immigrants, almost 60% come from Asia

What’s the point of the thread? The big issue with engineering jobs is offshoring and global competition. There are narrow not-really-engineering jobs that are a lot of repetitive task that have been filled by H-1B but those jobs almost never create intellectual property. Nobody is going to give an H-1B contractor a mission critical job slot since they eventually eject back to India.
