I hate any kind of inflation. It is really bad. It may be transitory especially since the FED really cannot print money they way people think at least according to this: https://www.fxstreet.com/analysis/it...y-202106091300

Its supply chain bottlenecks and dirt cheap interest rates and government checks. And psychology from the FED making people think that to behave in inflationary ways according to Ryan Miller.

Korea Central Bank just raised interest rate by 25 basis point to curb real estate speculation.
There will always be some inflation, some have to do with progress, you are paying more for goods and services because they are better, think wringer and washer ,old dental drill, xray instead of MRI,walkie talkie instead of smart phone, supersonic planes, bullet trains,Central AC/HEat instead of fans and window A/C,clothese you dont have to iron, who is ironing their clothese these days?
coffee pod instead of percolating your own coffee.
someone has t o pay those who have made the improvements in our life.
I have visited some countries where you bring your own toilet paper when using their bathroom

I don't notice it too much at the grocery store except good cuts of meat.

But used cars and anything travel related... Wow.. I was looking at Mustangs. I can get a new one with precisely the options I want for 45k while used low mileage ones go for 30k+. Not just a few years old but like 2013-14 models.

Wow!

This must be a different area of the country regarding milk prices. In NC, depending on the store, I typically see it priced between $1.59 to $2.99, unless it's speciality milk like soy or almond milk. We do have a lot of dairy farms in the state, so it may be more expensive in places where there are more food miles.

I eat very little meat - definitely don't buy "packages" of it. Milk here is sale-priced 2 gallons for $4. Gas has gone up but I'm not commuting these days so not much of an issue. So in general I'm not seeing the effects of inflation - and I've seen some reports that it's already passing.

Car prices may be up but for most people that's a purchase that can be delayed or "block-chained".

some prices may not come down or come down much, every thing has a labor component in it,iron ore does not turn into iron by itself, packages do not fly into your living room, cow does not milk itself ,pasteurise and pour into milk carton.
if worker is getting $15.$16.$17.$18 (Metropolitan is $20 minimum wage now),are you going to cut their pay because inflation has subsized?
Angus ground beef was $4.99 a lb,have not checked how much it is now.
Angus boneless strip steak on sale is $12.99 but cant find it in the store.
