Holocaust? You think losing money is the same as murdering millions of people?

Maybe your prophecy will come true for you alone. And then you can decide you are a victim of the holocaust.

Economy is so weak that even 25 basis points are enough to send it into a recession. We simply have too much debt and our economy can’t grow with so much toxic debt. We need to destroy all this toxic debt and the only way to do this is with higher interest rates and strong US Dollar.

Even if the Fed didn’t raise rates economy would end up in Recession next. We have too much debt and the FED has hit the debt wall now. The party is over.

It's just a metaphor.

Because the guy could not stand up to 45 and then he was prioritizing making sure he had the job instead of tending to the economy. Let's hope he has the nards to finally do the right thing and raise rates.

Some of these guys equate money with life itself.

Eventually we will start growing our new economy again once deflation season ends.

Old world died back in 2001 and we need to cut it from life support. We kept this Old World on life support for 21 years now. Let it die finally. Let it die so we can build New World.

Good Luck!
I can live with a "fake and phony" economy that has been going gangbusters for almost 20 years. The increase has been over 410% or just over 8%/year, even after adjusting for inflation the gain has been about 5.6%/year

What happened in 2001 that was so tragic that it "caused the old world to die" - the main thing I can recall is 9/11 and the small recession associated. We really haven't been on "life support" for the last 20 years that I have seen.

Wow - more doom and gloom - never again level of growth since 1772 - before independence? The energy in 1772 was wind, water and fire - not fossil fuels, solar and nuclear. What is the need for "forced degrowth" - Solar and nuclear can easily make up for any shortages in fossil fuels in the future - the demise of fossil fuels is still a ways off.

"The United States holds 322 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of proven gas reserves as of 2017, ranking 4th in the world and accounting for about 5% of the world's total natural gas reserves of 6,923 Tcf. The United States has proven reserves equivalent to 11.9 times its annual consumption."
. . . . .
Reserves equivalent to 12 more years of consumption?
Tapping out in 2029.

That's not a "good thing" - right?
