I don think US allows dual citizenship,do we?
High level Chinese govt officials would not be holding US green cards.
May be their children after graduating from US colleges would apply for permanent residence.

Once there was a huge scandal within Bank of China(central bank),some employees embazzeled money and went to Canada,HK and other parts of the world.
The Chinese government requested these foreign countries to arrest them and send them back ,some committed suicide .

The Chinese government buys U.S. Treasury securities to balance their trade with the U.S. and prevent their currency from becoming too strong.

Chinese citizens have a $50000 per-year limit on moving funds out of China.

Nice try to create a mood of panic on top of the market vexatious behavior lately

Yes, we do.

If China acts to keep wealthy CCP members from storing wealth offshore, that would certainly help lower the prices in the housing market in many parts of the US (particularly on the west coast). Purchasing overseas real estate is favored by the Chinese as a way to protect their assets from confiscation by their government.

Does anybody realize that China is teetering on the edge of full-bore economic collapse?

China needs the United States far more than the United States needs China. All that Chinese money coming into the US is money that Chinese citizens are trying to get the heck out of the country.

If the Chinese pull out, then the take away their demand.

That should be good for everyone else namely the citizen that born and grew up here.

They have more bidding power now that there are less bids being made.

We can always create more currency from imagination anyways.

Once China invades Taiwan we will sanction them and stop buying their stuff. It will hurt them badly since we buy more of their goods than they buy of ours.

80%+ of their energy comes from the Persian Gulf, and China Doesn’t have a blue water navy to speak of. A couple of destroyers in the straight of Hormuz and China is done in three months.
